This is a lovely example of Edwin M. Knowles China Co. Semi-Vitreous Platter. According to the back stamp, it looks like the platter was made in 1947. A winter day on the farm is the charming image complete with home, barn, creek, water wheel, horse-drawn wagon with hay, snow on the ground, and oxen hitched to a sleigh. The glaze finished is crackled and one end has some grayish spots. This is a very charming display piece and does include a wood plate stand.
The platter measures 10 1/4 inches tall, 13 1/2 inches wide and 1 1/4 inches deep. The dark wood plate stand is 10 inches tall and 8 inches wide.
